Aryana International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (AIJSSH) is an academic initiative taken by the Human Sciences Deputy Directorate of the Afghanistan Sciences Academy (ASA) to bring together earlier scholars, professors, practitioners, experts and policymakers to address key gaps in knowledge through theory, practice and policy research. This would help provide an impactful source of knowledge for the university’s students, scholars, and policymakers. AIJSSH is an open-access and bi-annual, peer-reviewed journal, which publishes high-quality empirical original, research articles in the greater areas of social sciences and humanities.

1. Aims & Scope

Aryana International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (AIJSSH) is an academic, open-access, peer-reviewed, and refereed journal published by the Human Science Deputy Directorate of the Afghanistan Sciences Academy, Kabul, Afghanistan. The aim of AIJSSH is to provide timely and original research to support and promote research culture in Afghanistan. This would enhance the need and vitality of research in various areas of discipline to put a strong foundation for those who are truly interested in research and academic activities. Therefore, the AIJSSH is trying to offer diverse perspectives across various fields of Social Sciences and Humanities to bridge the available gaps in knowledge.

It will mainly consider publishing quality papers in different fields, such as economics and business, public administration, development studies, history and ethnography, regional studies, international relations, politics, law, governance, media and culture, language and literature, philosophy and psychology, sociology and anthropology, education and other areas of social sciences. With the contributions from scholars, practitioners, and experts worldwide, the journal aims to establish itself as a leading journal in social sciences and humanities on an international platform.

The Aryana International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities is published twice a year (June and December) and considers two kinds of papers: research papers and book reviews. A research article (5000–10000 words) should be based on a research problem or gap in current literature. A book review (1500–2000 words) should be a specific discussion on the content of the book to showcase the idea, message, scope, and analytical content for readers. The journal publishes original papers, case studies, empirical research, and book reviews. Additionally, the journal is committed to considering Special Issues on crucial topics that are relevant in the social sciences and humanities.

2. Open Access

Research articles that are published in the Aryana International Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities are fully open access to read, download, and share under the academic terms and rules. The journal does not charge fees for submitting a manuscript for publication.
